The Open Agent Specification (OAS) defines a DID-based identity framework for autonomous agents. It introduces the did:oas method, a taxonomy of entity kinds, a cryptographic lineage model linking agents to human-root keyholders, and conformance levels that make verifier expectations explicit. Lineage is cryptographic ancestry under verifier policy; personhood and Sybil resistance remain out of band.
